At Orchardside we have a responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment where our students can learn. All staff receive appropriate training which is updated regularly. The training is in line with national and local guidance which means our staff are knowledgeable and aware of the role they play in keeping students safe and recognising signs of abuse or neglect. In addition, staff receive termly child protection and safeguarding information via our “Safeguarding Newsletter” which keeps them informed of issues pertinent to our setting.
We have an experienced Safeguarding Team led by
Miss N Panayiodou, Assistant Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), Miss D Roberts. There are also a number of other qualified Safeguarding Officers to support our students.
