Turnaround Project
In Turnaround we offer a short-term intervention placement for students in year 7 & 8, for those who may be finding it difficult in mainstream. We offer a therapeutic and nurture style provision in partnership with the home school. During the six week placement, students are full time and can access a full curriculum as listed below.

- Maths
- Science
- Art
- Drama
- Physical Education
- Home Cooking Skills
- Enrichment/Relationship Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
- Humanities
- Back to school workshops
- 121 mentoring
Students will have the appropriate screeners during their time at Orchardside for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
A holistic report will be produced for the students when they return to school, with a requirement that the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) from both schools are involved in the re-integration meeting.
